Buick Envision: This Woman (And Her Clones) Are Tired After Spin Class

An attractive woman (played by Vanessa Curry) returns to her Buick Envision after a brutal spin class. We then see an “everyday version” of her suggest using Buick’s massaging seat. It’s nice. Then the clubby version of her pipes up from the backseat and wants to put on music with Apple CarPlay. The studious version wants to make sure it’s something they all like, and wants to know her Buick’s WiFi password. “BuickEnvision2021″…that’s really predictable. They also all used to hate parallel parking, but now it’s a breeze with automatic parking assist. They really like to say “Buick” in Buick commercials, which means that the dialogue doesn’t sound like real life. Just like all of Buick’s ads in recent years, this one uses “It’s Alright” by Matt and Kim.

3/15 update: Angry YouTube commenters are accusing Buick of ripping off Katie Florence, an Instagram and TikTok star famous for The Kouncil.

      Agreed! Who is she?!

    • Nancy Pedersen says:

The Envision commercial with Vanessa is a slap in the face to women drivers! The song-songy voices are annoying .. and I find the premise insulting! The driver is pigeonholed as being helpless.. unable to parallel park!! Who thought this would cause women to flick to buy an Envision?
I have owned Buicks in the past .. but this commercial will cause me to never buy another!!

  2. Steve says:

Reminds me of Dax Shepard’s wife on parenthood.

  3. Donny Espinoza says:

    Vanessa curry

  4. Ron says:

    Irritating commercial

  5. AC Folson says:

I figured it out! Three of them are all clones of the driver.

  6. Pam Colt says:

This is disingenuous all the way around. The strength of the black woman is being “real”. This is a wannabe flo’ show of trying to aspire to look like a cappuccino swilling yuppie —that spin class was brutal. Who talks like this? Trying to look sophisticated —way too hard.

  7. Richard says:

The worst looking plastic actor ever. Are you kidding me!

  8. Ramona Platt says:

Totally sexist. Portrays woman and her “friends” as complete idiots.

  9. Somewhere over the Rainbow says:

This commercial is the annoying ever. The duck lips and phoniness. I’d purposely not buy the car because of it.
