That Samsung Galaxy Commercial With A Schoolboy Dancing Down The Hall

I’m sure I’m not the only one that finds this one really annoying. A young boy is in class when the bell rings and then it’s showtime! He comes down the hall and records himself dancing and performing Benjamin Earl Turner’s “Yadada.” That song, like the commercial itself, is quite irritating. Not only does this Samsung Galaxy ad annoy me, but it also makes me feel so, so old. The YouTube comments are pretty entertaining though.

Experian Goes Goth In This Ad From The UK

Because when you think of Experian, you think of goths, right? Experian UK has created a bizarre advert that takes place on what is presumably the London Underground and stars goths. Though the goths all look similar, they’re pared down until we’re left with one, ironically named Joy. Experian explains that while other companies offer similar people similar stuff, they use your credit history to find deals that are right for you, and only you. Weird, but OK.

Aldi: This Unfortunate Guy Buys A Lot Of Cheese For A First Date

The happy idiot in Aldi’s ad is buying so, so much cheese. He explains to the friendly cashier that the first date is at his place and since her profile says she loves cheese, he’s trying to impress her. The cashier then breaks it to him that Katie’s profile says she loves chess, not cheese. It is great cheese though. She says one of them is imported from England, and the awkward dude responds with a Scottish accent. Somehow I don’t think his date will go too well. The cashier is played by Sheila Carrasco…anyone know who the hapless guy is?

New York Lottery: Black Titanium Is A Game, Not A Heavy Metal Band

New York Lottery makes a chuckler here. Two women are chatting over coffee, when one asks the other if she’s heard of Black Titanium. The other woman responds that yeah, they’re that heavy metal band that’s like so metal all they’re instruments are literally made of heavy metal. That’s what it sounds like, right? We then see an imagining of Black Titanium the band, and as you might imagine, literally heavy metal instruments cause some problems. But no, Black Titanium is a new scratch off game from the New York Lottery with a top prize of 10 million bucks. And yeah, that sounds a lot better than that band probably would. The bespectacled woman is Desi Domo, and if I find out who plays the other one, I’ll add that info.

Honda Says Safety Is For Everyone, And Thankfully Mark Doesn’t Get Hit By A Car

By all accounts, Mark is a great guy. He’s the best husband and father you could ask for, a fantastic big kid as a brother, and a swell best man (just keep him off the dance floor). He’s also an uncle who taught his nephew and stops by his mom’s, just to chat. Mark’s boss thinks the place would fall apart without him. But what would life be like without Mark? We see the impact it would have when Mark has a close call and almost gets hit by a car. But luckily that car is a Honda, which makes vehicles that can brake before you do. It’s a powerful spot.

Hotels.com: Captain Obvious Reminds These Jealous Moms About Condoms

This memorable Hotels.com commercial has been out for three months, but I just saw it for the first time. We see a glamorous woman by the pool, and then discover that it’s an social media pic that some of her jealous friends are looking at. How can she be on another vacation, while they’re jacket-clad at the playground with their kids? “Wow…so happy for you”…maybe not. Then longtime Hotels.com spokesman Captain Obvious (played by Brandon Moynihan) pipes in from a swing. He notes, obviously of course, that they’re jealous. If you’re an English language nerd, you might note that they’re actually envious, not jealous. So how is she there, while they’re stuck at the playground? Captain Obvious delivers an all-time zinger: “Condoms.” And they can’t argue with that. Bahahaha. So don’t hate-like their trip…book yours with Hotels.com and get rewarded basically everywhere. I thought this commercial was hilarious, but I have a feeling that some others aren’t fans. So what say you? Cameron Kelly plays the vacation woman… anyone know who plays the jealous mothers?

The Geico Gecko And A New Homeowner Explore A Creepy Old Attic

Geicoween continues with this spot. The Gecko and this new homeowner come to up the attic and Gecko explains half of the fun of a new house is seeing what people left behind in the attic. Of course, this attic contains a tiny dancer in a music box and broken mannequins that seemingly stare at you from all directions. Eek. Creepy. But Geico can help you save on homeowners and renters insurance, so that’s cool I guess. Anyone know who plays the unsettled new homeowner?
