Time Warner’s Twilight Tale

This commercial makes me feel old. Sure I know about Twilight, but I don’t get the references and this is the first time I’ve ever heard of Kellan Lutz. Speaking of old, those guys don’t look high-school age to me. The Time Warner connection is pretty tenuous too…

Time Warner Teases With This Fancy Commercial

Wait…so you mean that Time Warner Cable Signature Home DOESN’T include the pretty wife or swanky penthouse apartment? Ehh, not sure I’m interested anymore.

Oh, and the voiceover is by Kate Walsh. No wonder it reminded me of this sexy commercial. If I find out who the music is by, I’ll add that too. And here’s some info about Time Warner’s Signature Home in NoHo, NYC. I suppose it’s the one they used in the commercial.

Aww. A cute girl is looking for her dog, the adorably named Waffles. I think the most striking part of this ad is the setting. With the quaint looking town and the kindly old Mr. D, this is straight out of Norman Rockwell’s America. It seems like this could have taken place anytime in the last 100 years. That is until modern technology saves the day and the happy reunion ensues.

One thing I wonder about is the popularity of phone service from the cable company. When I was in charge of the cable bill at the college apartment, I noticed the cable/internet/phone bundle. But since cable and internet was the same price, getting phone service just seemed redundant, what with cells and all.
