Verizon Is At The Coffee Shop With Daryl And Thomas Middleditch

Who wants another annoying Verizon commercial with Thomas Middleditch? No one? Well, too bad, because he’s back. This time, he catches up with recurring character Daryl (played by Barak Hardley) at a coffee shop. I don’t know if Verizon is trying to attract the hipster crowd with this, but in between Middleditch, Daryl the bearded dog walker, and the coffee shop setting, they’re really hitting on all the hipster stereotypes.

Verizon’s Joy Is Back For Christmas

Verizon’s popular character Joy (played by Britt Lower) returns in a new spot, this time walking through a holiday market. Also, Thomas Middleditch takes a little girl’s popcorn without asking. How rude!

Verizon’s Unboxing Commercial With The Google Pixel 3

The ubiquitous and annoying Thomas Middleditch is back for yet another Verizon spot. This one is set up as an unboxing video, a silly phenomenon where people videotape themselves opening up packages. Why they’re popular, I’ll never know. Anyway, he’s unboxing the new Google Pixel 3. A couple approaches, and the woman asks how the camera is. It’s not just a camera…it also has the power of Google Lens, which lets you search what you see. Thomas takes a picture of the man’s special edition sneakers and may have discovered where to find them. The woman is played by Mimi Davila…anyone know who plays the man?

Verizon’s Joy Has Fun At A Bonfire

Verizon’s popular character Joy (played by Britt Lower) is back in a new spot. This time, she’s at a bonfire at the beach. Only problem is that her friend Daryl can’t get the music going on his phone. He shakes it around (does that look weirdly phallic to anyone else?), but nothing. That’s when the annoying Thomas Middleditch comes out and makes a snarky comment. Joy then whips out her new iPhone on Verizon. With six months of free Apple Music, the party gets started. Initially, Daryl plays some metal, but Middleditch tells him to pick something more appropriate. Bumpin’ hip-hop beats it is! The beat is “Bamboo” by P-Lo, by the way. They both sound good, Daryl. Verizon also has ads with Joy and Thomas where they use famous song lyrics in dialogue. There’s “I Wanna Dance With Somebody”, “Call Me Maybe”, and “Me Myself and I”.

Verizon: This Family Can’t Agree On Music At Their BBQ

Hip hop, reggaeton, EDM are all suggestions from different family members. Then Thomas Middleditch appears and pushes the dubious “bubble trance.” Everyone has different tastes and that’s why they should choose Verizon, he says. Plus six months free Apple Music is cool, I guess. And it turns out that Thomas Middleditch is a fan of old school reggaeton, but not the new stuff. The husband is played by James Martinez…anyone know who the wife and daughter are?

Verizon’s Wedding Commercial

Verizon’s Joy (played by Britt Lower) returns for a new ad, this time at a wedding. The bride and her fellow bridesmaids are looking for something old. Maybe they could use some of their old phones. Thomas Middleditch appears out of nowhere, since that’s what he does in these spots, and talks about them getting the new iPhone on Verizon. Joy comments that the camera is amazing, but unfortunately for Thomas Middleditch, he can’t be the ring bearer in this wedding. I’ll add the identities of the bride and other bridesmaids when I get that information.

Verizon Can Help You When You’re Stranded Roadside

Here’s a young family whose car broke down along the side of the road. Dad has no bars. Lame! But then Verizon spokesman Thomas Middleditch suddenly appears, because that’s just what he does in these ads. He goes on to talk about how great Verizon is, and orders them a car…so they don’t have to be outside alone with the coyotes. Yay! Everything’s looking up for them! The mom is played by the lovely Emilia Ares Zoryan, and if I find out dad’s identity, I’ll add that too.

Verizon’s Joy Watches The Game At An Airport

Verizon’s popular recurring character Joy (played by Britt Lower) is back at an airport. She and her friend are watching the game, but her new airport buddies don’t have Verizon, and they’re still buffering. Also, Verizon spokesman Thomas Middleditch may have missed his flight and someone stole his watch. The struggle is truly real.

That Verizon Commercial With Women On Horses

These horseback, social media loving women are posting selfies. Joy posts #YeeHaw, but her unfortunate friend is stuck with #IHaveNoSignalAndIStillCantPostOutHere. See, Joy has Verizon, and according to Verizon spokesman Thomas Middleditch, Verizon is better. Joy is played by Britt Lower, and her signal-lacking friend is Fabianne Therese.
