California Lottery Uses “Don’t You (Forget About Me)” To Advertise Its Pac-Man Game

“Don’t You (Forget About Me)” was an evocative #1 hit in 1985 that’s now most famous for its usage in The Breakfast Club. Now, California Lottery puts that ’80s cachet to work in its newest ad, created by David&Goliath. We see a group of Gen-X aged friends biking somewhere while clad in the stereotypical fashion of the time. They’re heading to the convenience store, where a present-day woman is taken aback by their appearance. And they set down a roll of quarters for a new Pac-Man Scratchers game.
