This Lowe’s Commercial Features A Guy Who Can’t Fold A Fitted Sheet

This is me. Folding a fitted sheet is infuriating!

What’s That Song? Part XXIV

Artist: Alyssa Bonagura, Song: “I Make My Own Sunshine”

I like a lot of Lowe’s commercials. They are often very colorful and have nice songs to match. This is another good one. Alyssa’s got a beautiful voice.

Artist: Wolf Gang, Song: “Lions in Cages”

Sweet GMC Terrain ad. Surfing does seems like much more fun than being at work. And the song sounds great…very atmospheric.

What’s That Song? Part XXIII

Artist: Ra Ra Riot, Song: “Boy”

I wrote about this Honda Civic commercial back in October, but now it’s getting played again. I still think it’s a pretty stupid and self-absorbed ad, but the song sounds great.

Artist: The Kicks, Song: “Good Morning”

A new Lowe’s commercial. The smell of freshly cut grass really is nice…well, except for my allergies. The visualization of the smell that Lowe’s uses is a little too evocative of a noxious gas for my tastes though. And if morning also involved waking up to this crappy song, I think I’d just go back to sleep.

Artist: Oxford, Song: “Naked Eye”

Another new Lowe’s commercial. Nice and colourful. I like the song, it be catchy.

Artist: The Features, Song: “How It Starts”

Hot, hot commercial for the 2013 Ford Mustang. Looks and sounds great.

What’s That Song? Part XVII

Artist: Camera Can’t Lie, Song: “Shine For Me”

A great holiday commercial from Lowe’s. Striking and very pretty visuals. A pleasant song. And “Never Stop Improving” is a quality slogan for both business and life.

Artist: Johnny Otis, Song: “Willie and the Hand Jive”

Simple and stylish ad for Delta Faucet. The hand touch thing is pretty cool. Tune is catchy as hell too.

Artist: Daniel Lee Kendall, Song: “Lost in the Moment”

A cute song that sounds like something women would love. Which probably explain why it’s in a Zales commercial. Reminds me of another holiday jewelry ad from a few years ago.

Artist: ???, Song: ???

I keep seeing searches being referred to my blog for “Gillette Fusion Proglide song”. I assume this is the commercial they’re looking for. Unfortunately, I can’t find the artist or song anywhere. Sorry. The Gillette Fusion Proglide is the best razor I’ve ever had, but I don’t think it’s “turned my world upside down”

What’s That Song? Part XV

Artist: Girls Love Shoes, Song: “Home”

Previously featured in a great Buick commercial, Girls Love Shoes return in this Lowe’s ad. The spot is visually interesting,  and the song is decent. Though I like “Stars” much more.

Artist: Peter Bjorn and John, Song: “Second Chance”

This commercial for Bud Light Lime has been around since April, but I’ve been seeing it often lately. Expect it to be getting more airplay as winter approaches. Pretty good ad by DDB Chicago, with the beachiness, pretty women, and nice song. Bud Light Lime is obviously going after Corona drinkers.

What’s That Song? Part XII

Artist: Girls Love Shoes, Song: “Stars”

This is the 2nd time I’ve profiled a song from a Buick LaCrosse commercial. It’s not new either…been on YouTube since early March. But I saw it today and just had to know the cool song in this cool ad. Girls Love Shoes is a really goofy band name. “Stars” is catchy as hell. And I’ve been listening to it on repeat.

Artist: Gin Wigmore, Song: “Don’t Stop”

The 2nd “Don’t Stop” being currently used in advertising. I thought this was Amy Winehouse at first. Anyway, a nice spot by Lowe’s showcasing life’s changes.
