Renault Reveals Saucy Secrets In These Ads From Italy

One advantage European ads have over their United States counterparts is that since European society is much less prude, their commercials tend to push the envelope more than the ones we have in America. Sure, our ads are often suggestive, but something as blatant as this hilarious Italian campaign for car company Renault would never fly. In them, sexy surprises are progressively revealed as different pairs are driving in crucial situations. A different safety feature of the Renault Scenic is featured with each reveal, as they’re the types that would take your attention off the road. The featured song is “Stuck in the Middle with You” by Stealers Wheel, which fits but is pretty overused in pop culture. They’re quite amusing ads, created by Publicis Italy in Milan.

Disaronno’s Classy Commercial

Disaronno is an Italian brand of amaretto liqueur that has a luxurious image. They capitalize on this image with their lovely new ad showing an attractive couple dancing at an oceanside villa. Combined with the beautiful music (which was expressly created for the commercial), Disaronno’s spot becomes reminiscent of a fashion ad. It’s classy as hell, but whenever it comes on, I’m inevitably doing something lowbrow…like eating Cheetos on the couch.

Old Italian People Hate Pizza Hut

Pizza is a traditionally Italian food. Pizza Hut is decidedly different than that standard, and they’re changing even more with their new “The Flavor of Now” menu. So in this new campaign, Pizza Hut shows its new offerings to grumpy old Italians, who don’t like it, or any other “modern” things. I’m not really sure what the point of this ad is, but it’s quite lame and fake.
