Viagra Connect’s Surprising And Emotive Love Story From The UK

When you think or Viagra’s advertising, you probably think of something awkward and clinical. Or possibly Bob Dole. But this ad from the UK for Viagra Connect (it’s sold over-the-counter there) takes an entirely different approach. This 2-minute animated piece doesn’t contain any dialogue, but it tells the story of a couple for whom the stresses of outside life are negatively affecting their sex life. They seem to be growing apart physically and emotionally, until Viagra Connect throws them a lifeline. The story is buoyed by a lovely slowed-down cover of The Proclaimers’ “I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles).” Anyone know who does the cover? It’s surprising and excellent work from VMLY&R London. Here’s a bit more about it.

This Man Takes A Road Trip In His Ford Edge To Surprise His Wife

She’s on a business trip and misses home. So he decides to pack up the Ford Edge, with their doggie of course, for a surprise adventure. The catchy (though somewhat pop-culture cliched) “I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles)” by The Proclaimers plays as he drives- not walks haha- an undetermined long distance to get to her. It’s a welcome surprise when she comes back to her hotel room and they’re waiting for her. How exactly did they get into her room though? Hmmm…

Netflix Shows A Man That’ll Watch 500 Hours (And 500 More) To Impress A Crush

Valentine’s Day is on Sunday. It’ll always kinda suck, but it sucks a lot less when you’ve got someone to spend it with. Aww. Anyway, this cute new Netflix commercial that was released last week, seemingly right on time for Valentine’s. A man sees a cute lady at a DMV-type office mention Orange Is the New Black  is her favorite show. Smitten, he hurries home to binge on it, accompanied by an an amusing parody of The Proclaimers’ classic hit “I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles).” He rushes back to talk to her, only to find out that she hasn’t seen the season 3 finale! One can only hope that much Netflix and chill happened between them afterwards.
