Google Helps This Elderly Man Remember His Late Wife Loretta

10 years ago, Google debuted its first TV ad during the Super Bowl. “Parisian Love” was a beautiful and sweet spot that was lauded as among the decade’s best commercials. Now, Google is back with another beautiful and sweet ad for the Super Bowl, and this one is definitely a tearjerker. We follow an old man who is trying not to forget his late wife, Loretta. Through the Google Assistant’s search and voice features, we see an emotional journey through a lifelong romance. The music is an instrumental version of A Great Big World’s equally tearjerking song “Say Something.” Aww. Here’s more about the ad.

An Adult Macaulay Culkin Stays Home Alone With The Google Assistant

This one is currently #1 on YouTube’s Trending videos, with more with 7.5 million views since being released yesterday. Well done, Google.

Google: Kevin Durant Ponders The Royal Wedding

Apparently, I missed Google’s gummy bear commercial with Kevin Durant last month. But now Google has a new spot with the exact same setup…Durant’s in the weight room and thinking. This time, it’s even more amusing, as he’s looking forward to the Royal Wedding. But it’s going to be at 11 AM in London, which means 3 AM in Oakland…so he’d better set an alarm. Luckily, the Google Assistant’s got KD covered.
