Milk-Bone Says Dogs See More

Sometimes the less said, the better. If you like dogs, you’ll probably be a fan of this Milk-Bone spot.

Pedigree Shows Women Being Mothers To Their Dogs In This Ad From Thailand

If you have a pet, you might think of him/her as your child. Pets depend on us for love, companionship, and of course food. All of these are things children also seek from their parents. In this Pedigree ad from BBDO Bangkok, we see women caring for and worrying about unseen characters that are implied to be small children. Halfway though, it’s revealed that the children are all dogs. Aww. The dog with injured legs is particularly touching.

That Farmers Insurance Commercial With Dogs Synchronized Diving And Swimming In A House They Flooded

The pooches, affectionately called “Mer-Mutts” in this Farmers Insurance ad, are fantastic. I’d imagine if you saw that happening, you’d have the same reaction as the absolutely dumbfounded couple. The man is played by Matt Peters, better known as Luschek from Orange Is the New Black. Farmers had to know that they had a hit on their hands with this ad, and they made a bunch of spots featuring the individual dogs. I’m not going to post them on here, but you can check them out at the Farmers Insurance YouTube page. Great stuff.

NaturVet’s Outta My Box Makes Cat Poop Smell Less Bad And Reduces A Dog’s Craving To Eat It

In my life, I’ve had cats but never a dog. I like dogs..just never had one. And it’s true that cat litter can smell, but what do you expect from crap in a box? I didn’t know that dogs had a craving for cat feces, but now I know thanks to this commercial from NaturVet’s Outta My Box. The video seems to acknowledge its own ridiculousness with a talking cat and dog, and a scolding “it’s time to curb the urge, buddy” from the owner.

These Subaru Ads Star A Driving Dog Family

The Barkleys were first featured in Subaru commercials two years ago (how did I miss these?). Now they’re back in more adorable ads created by Carmichael Lynch. In the longest one, Papa Barkley drives around at night with his sleepy puppy child. We also follow them in adventures around town. They have trouble communicating with the voice-activated phone navigation. In another, Mr. and Mrs. Barkley go out for a nice dinner, and have their car parked by a cat valet, who looks like he had a good time with their car. So cute.

Pedigree: Do Dogs Make Us Better People?

I’m more of a cat person, but meeting a friendly dog is one of those experiences that can make your day. Can meeting a dog change the way people perceive the world though? That’s what this Pedigree commercial from BBDO New York is looking at, in particular with regard to race. It features an older, grumpy-looking white man walking with his mastiff through a black neighborhood. He looks pretty careful to avoid eye contact, but then as a young black man walking a pit bull approaches, the dogs greet each other. This causes both owners to introduce their dogs and have a friendly moment. Of course, Pedigree won’t solve the complex problem of racism, but maybe dogs can create nice scenes like this to unfold more often.

Bonus video: Here’s another spot from the “Feed the Good” campaign, this time from Australia. A fight takes a backseat when a dog’s life is at risk.

FedEx Has Dogs Wearing Little Football Jerseys

Adorable. And yeah, cat cleats seem like a bad idea.
