That McDonald’s Commercial With Donut Sticks And “The Middle”

The older gentleman in the McDonald’s drive-thru who orders new Donut Sticks for the car behind him strikes me as someone who has raised children, and thus knows the struggle. The expression of the dad in the second car full of young girls in the middle of a rousing singalong of “The Middle” says it all. He’s definitely “losing his mind just a little.”  It’s a nice act of paying it forward, though I somewhat question whether getting those girls all hopped up on sugar would really quiet them down. And for the rest of us, it’s yet another opportunity to get “The Middle” stuck in our heads.

What does the McDonalds clerk whisper to the back car driver and what does he respond with.

Hard to tell what the McDonald’s clerk is saying. The driver with the girls is mouthing “I’m losing my mind just a little”, which is part of the hook to “The Middle.”
