Get Rich With Miller High Life

Miller High Life is one of my cheap beers of choice. As the “Champagne of Beers”, it’s tasty and extra bubbly. They have a rather odd new ad campaign created by Leo Burnett. The commercials star a soft-spoken young man named Rich, who, befitting his name, is rich. At least in a sense. He might not be rich in money, but he’s got a good dog and good friends. And drinks High Life. But the grainy black-and-white footage and deadpan voiceover: are they clever, ironic, or just pretentious? I’m not really sure what to make of these.
