Cheers To State Farm

I support any commercial that uses the Cheers theme song. I am thankful for your great advertising, State Farm.

State Farm FAIL. Sorry State Farm. The theme song to the sitcom, Cheers is off limits. Good try but I, like so many others agree, you went there when you shouldn’t have.

  2. John Brunty says:

What a ridiculous use of a great song. Besides the fact none of the lyrics match the video, it’s just plain wrong. And just the other day I was thinking State Farm had great commercials. This one not included!

  3. Abby Hall says:

Does anyone know how much it cost for them to use that??

  4. Vern says:

What an incredible insult to such an iconic song.

This is so stupid. Stop bitching about State Farm “abusing” an iconic song, which also happens to be recognizable. If you want to be mad at someone, be mad at Gary Portnoy, the Cheers makers, or anyone else involved who LET State Farm use it (and probably profited quite nicely).

  6. Douglas J. De Clue says:

Has had State Farm and been fairly satisfied with them for 21 years but still thinks that State Farm is biting off more than it can chew by co-opting the “Cheers” theme.. You better really make sure that your customer service is best in the world bar none and you treat your customers like your best friends and never like a number and better not leave us stranded on voicemail hell…
